Saintaldeia 2: All about it
Saintaldeia 2: All about it (for your information, part of tis entry was done a long time ago, so, some parts, like the first para might sound weird XD)
It seemed so long ago that I have last blogged. The keyboard that lays in front of me seemed so foreign now. Anyway, I have not blogged for many days, since I was extremely busy “socializing” with my OG and my CG. Seriously, I have been home late almost everyday (about 9+ to 10+ to 11+) with the exception of Wednesday. Here goes my recollection of the last few days, starting off with orientation from Tuesday to Thursday and ending off with Friday.

Today’s the Induction Programme. To me, its just some crazy programme planned to tire students out to better prepare us for the hectic and exhausting JC lives. In a way, it can be good, but you were to view it from another angle, it sux because you have to run around under the blaring sun for the whole day.
7th March started off with assembly. Then we were rushed off to the track area beside the gallery to line up according to our OGs. Then we had some crazy stuff called Physical Training or PT. We had to do endless amounts of jumping jets. And before that, the PE teacher with the microphone was like “torturing” us by telling us to change to out PE attire and then telling us to change back to out uniform again repeatedly just because he finds that we cannot change fast enough. Hey, that’s one whole new experience! Never in my life have I perspired so much, just to change! Haha! The part about the jumping jets: we had to do “silent” jumping jets OG-by-OG starting off with OG1 and ending with OG34. Anyway, the PT was fine. It was not as physically demanding as it sounded. The real challenge comes later in the day.
Next up: we had some talk bout the five core values of SAJC- compassion, integrity, responsibility, respect, perseverance. Thereafter, we had to meet up with our OG tutors in class for a poster design, something on the five most important vales to us. For my group (consisting of Justin, Paul, Chalit, and CK), we chose honesty and trust to present to the class on why is it the most important. However, in our poster, we did on responsibility.
Next up was lunch. We can only have biscuits and mineral water for lunch! Haha, another first time experience for me. We then had station games, after a briefing at the CC. First of all, we had to build a “structure” for “our chosen one” to sit on, and then we had to race 2 rounds the track, whilst competing with the other OGs. Then I had to piggy-back “our chosen one” which happens to be Samantha, up to the tennis court on the 4th floor! And she’s like so heavy! Hahas… I am just joking. Anyway, the run was very tiring for me, as I had to carry 2 heavy bottles of 5.5 litre mineral water. And the piggy-back adds on to my woes. The rest of the day was just the station games. They were very tiring but at least they managed to build some bonds between me and my OG-mates.
The last station was probably the most tiring one. The OG had to carry Samantha on the structure up-and-down the stairs of the gallery, starting off with the left side of the gallery and ending on the right. School ended off with the debriefing at about 7.30pm.
There’s a CG outing after school. The only people we manage to call along are Brendan, Shaun, Tze Wei, Siew Jing and Estella. We took 142 to Toa Payoh Central KFC for dinner. Along the way, they asked me about my EYE-CANDY again! I only said one… but I didn’t mention the other. “The-other-one” was the one that I really like. My feelings for the one that I told them seemed to vanish… no more feelings for her…
Anyway, we ate at KFC. All of us ordered our food except Tze Wei because I think she need to go “pat-thor” later with her boyfriend. As usual, the “healthy” me ordered a zinger meal, but topped up with extra vegetables. Along with the zinger is cheese fries and a cup of pepsi. Estella ordered the same meal as me. Siew Jing ordered the “duno-wad-pocket” meal. Shaun ordered the mushroom burger (?) meal and Brendan (the big eater!) ordered a 3 piece chicken meal! Oh… before we ordered our food, we cleaned our face with some “wet-tissue” (???) that siew jing provided. (Seriously… I have a problem with naming things) We talked lots of crap and Shaun suddenly sent me an sms to say that “today’s some day for the mentally retarded” and he told me to send the sms to retarded friends of mine just like what he had just done. -__-! Tze Wei left half-way our meal to meet her boyfriend at Ya Kun Kaya Toast. Pang seh!
After our meal, we strolled back to the Toa Payoh interchange and it was where everyone went their separate ways, except for me and estella, because she can also take bus 28! Yeah! I won’t be bored on the bus! So… we talked… I asked her which secondary school she was from, why she’s antisocial, blah blah blah, until I reached my stop. Poor girl! She’s still got many stops to go before she reaches home!
Anyway, I reached home before 10pm and I started complaining to my parents about how the school is “mistreating us”. (e.g. giving us biscuits and mineral water for lunch!)

Saintaldeia officially starts today! I met my OGLs today. One is Joel and the other is Mozi. (her real name is Monica) Saintaldeia 2 was a sequel from the previous one. This time round, we are supposed to find out the REAL killer! In the previous story, Andy the business man was thought to be the killer and was “killed” with the 5 core values of SAJC: responsibility, respect, compassion, perseverance and integrity. But this time round, the story continues with the disappearance of the 5 tribal head councils and WE are supposed to find out what happened. So, all second intake JC1s proceeded to the CC to watch the skit. (the details of the skit was already mentioned above)
But, before the skit, the 5 tribal councils started to introduce themselves. For Nehoma, our OGLs introduced the tribe but putting on a cloth to partially cover their face, and firing rubber bullets from a toy gun into the air. Thereafter was the skit.
After that, all of the JC1s proceeded to the track to meet our OGLs. Then we had a series of ice-breaker games, one of which if I am not wrong is called “murderer”. Ok… I suck in this game. I got shot three times and I had to do a forfeit. At first, they wanted me to go up to a girl and ask her for her phone number, but later, it was changed to going up to a OGL called Daniel and telling him “I love you”. Next was a modified “scissors paper stone” game. All of us start off as an egg, there after we would be promoted to chick, dinosaur, and finally a king if we won 3 consecutive games of “scissors paper stone” with our OG-mates. It was quite fun. Later, Paul and Choon Kiat joined me as “king” and we competed among ourselves for the spot of “Ace”, with the losers being branded “faggots”. So, in the end, I became the Ace and Choon Kiat became faggot-1 and Paul faggot-2. Sorry guys, I am just way too good in “scissors paper stone” XD
Next up was a combined ice-breaker session with another OG. We were supposed to sit down on the ground, and put our feet in line with another member of the other OG. Then, the last pair in the line would have to run across the entire sting of legs (without stepping on them of course), get to the other end of the line and run back to their original seats and sit down. Then the cycle continues for the others.
Next, we had to go to our classes to hand-up our subject combination forms. After that was settled, and when Miss Sunarfa had left the classroom, it was yet another round of ICE-BREAKER! So, we had to group ourselves into groups and we were supposed to ask those in our groups what toothpaste they used, what they ate for breakfast, what CCA he/she joined in secondary school. I was grouped with Chalit and Choon Kiat. Oh, something else very important here! Joel, our OGL still cannot remember our names and requested for us to paste duct tapes with our names on our shirts! HAHA…. He’s such a joker! So, I pasted 3 names on my shirt. One was my actual name, the other was MOZI (my OGL’s name XD) and the third was Afghanis (which was given to me by Tze Wei, a.k.a. QB ;P) So, choon kiat introduced us to the class. He said he had donuts for breakfast, chalit had bread for breakfast and I told him that I had Vitamin A to Z for breakfast + omega 3 tablets. Hahaz… that’s me! Always full of CRAP!
Then, its time for the principal’s “meet the Christians” session. Christians were to go meet the principal in the CC.
The rest of wad happened, including the rest of the orientation… sorry…. I have forgotten bout it all. I could only give you people a very brief outline (of wad I can remember) of wad happened.
Wednesday: hmmmm... Wad happened next? I think there was mass games. I represented OG23 and went onstage... there was some kind of balloon-bursting competition. They said I won it, and they would give me a prize, but where's the prize? Today's 22th march you know? The rest of the day... I forgotten...but I think that there was mass dance later in the day, and probably some wet station games.
Thursday: FINALE NIGHT. The OG went for dinner at broadway. I was super-enthu today. Lead the OG in cheers, and screamed super loud. I think many of them burst out laughing at the way I screamed and shouted. Hahaz… but anw... I raised the bak-kua cheer’s score from 2 to 5! (tt was wad they said on the OG17 blog). However, I cannot claim all credit to myself, because the OG had to be cooperative in the cheer too. Sadly, Nehoma did not win any prizes in the finale. There was a super-early “disco night”, when the sky outside was still quite bright. No fun at all. During the dance, I carried Brendan on my shoulders and ran round the hall. But guess wad? 2 councilors came running after us behind to stop me! Hahaz... wad a joke! And they scolded Brendan, while I was only let off with a warning. XD haiz...sadly... received a sms from WL to say tt he's been rejected by SAJC and that he's going to poly.
Friday: I know my new-CG already. 06S15's split up! Damn! Only Yihui's in my new CG, 06S19, but I am not close to her. Never talked much to her, so I am feeling really sad bout the arrangement... in fact I am so pissed! Had a BBQ at Shaun Goh's condo over at bishan. Brendan and Shaun Lim came over to crash. Many things happened and the 2's crashing brought much laughter to the BBQ night. E.g. Shaun telling racist jokes, and he jumped into the pool with Cindy in his uniform! XD Oh yar... in the afternoon, went with Tze Wei, Brendan and Shaun to Far East, where Brendan had his haircut. Later we went to PS, and I took my first ever NEOPRINT with Brendan, Shaun, Estella and Tze Wei. Hey ppl... it's my first, and with some of my really good friends in SAJC! I will cherish the moment… trust me. It's simply unforgettable!
That's all I can recall bout orientation and Friday OG BBQ, sorry... I do have a poor memory! XD
